CLASS OF 1960
Chicago, IL

Paul's Story

Life After graduation in June, 1960, moved to California. In November of that year, joined the U.S. Air Force and, for the first six months, trained to be a corpsman; then trained as a public health specialist. In November, 1964, I was discharged and returned to California. In January, 1965, became an environmental health/safety technician at UCLA and attended classes there at the same time. In 1968, I married. Graduated with a B.A. in English in 1969 from UCLA and taught junior high in Santa Monica, California. Became a social worker in 1971 and started law school in 1972. While attending law school, I was the director of a six city juvenile diversion project (worked for law enforcement) until 1976, when I received a law degree and passed the Californ...Expand for more
ia bar. In early 1977, began working for an entertainment law firm. Left that firm in 1978 to become general counsel for an international business. Left that business in 1984, when I had three daughters, for the private practice of law, specializing in business transactions and business litigation. Divorced in 1994 and have not remarried. I could retire (I am 63 as of February, 2006) but still enjoy trying cases and being involved in lawyer "stuff". After being with my children (all women), and grandchildren (all boys), I enjoy reading, philosophy, politics, news, cooking, ice hockey, conversation and wine. Would very much enjoy hearing from former classmates who remember me. I was a there in my junior and senior years, from 1958-1960. Paul A. Brennan
