Paul Carpenter:  

y speciality was Law Enforcement. It's a career that I've always enjoyed. I left the US Air Force in 1984 to pursue a civilian law enforcement career, however it didn't work out. I subsequently enlisted in the US Army in 1985 and went to Fort Dix, NJ for basic training. After graduating I ws sent to Germany were, as Military Policeman, I was assigned to a unit that enforced US Customs laws and regulations on all returning Military and Civilian employees going back to the US. I then was transferred to Vicenza, Italy and continued with this job there. In 1991 I was transferred back to Germany, where, after attending military schooling, I was asigned as an Investigator, with the responsibility of enforceing all criminal laws and regulations on illegal sales and transcations between military and Civilian employes of the US Government and local nationals. These sales were not allowable due to international aggrements between the US and Host Nation. In June 1997, I was transferred to NY, were I was assinged to a Militay Police Detachment as the Operations Sergeant, responsible for 33 Military Policeman in their daily duties. I retired from there in May 2001, and moved on into my current career.
