Paul's Story

Howdy & Doody to all my fellow Dracuteers. Posted 0n 1/6/2009: Life after DHS has been a wild ride and pretty interesting for me, especially here in WRJ, VT where I met my wife of 26 years, Maryann Balch. Together we had a family which includes our 25 y/o daughter, Julia, and our 23 y/o son, John-Paul. We also have had quite a parade of wonderful dogs, cats, and rabbits over the years. Our current critters include a 24 (!) y/o cat named Spencer and his companion, a 14 y/o cat named Mitts (for her 4 white Mittens.) To catch you up, I've posted a edited version of my most recent resume so that you'll have some sense of what has filled the last 43 since graduating fronm DHS. I've been semi-retired for the past few years due to health problems and will probably begin disability retirement before this year is over. That's the way the cookie crumbles, but it's also probably time for it to happen, so we're rolling with these punches and making the best out of it. Peace and Best Wishes to All of You! Paul Andrew Feeney, MA I¿ve worked with Families most of my working career. This began in the Army as a Hospital Chaplain¿s Assistant, then continued as a lay Pastoral Ministry at a church with a large rural congregation and two Sunday Schools. My working with families got pushed into high gear as a Homeless Family Shelter director at the Haven in WRJ, VT. It continued with my family case management work as an Outreach Worker and Outreach Director for Community Action; and as a Free Clinic organizer in WRJ, VT and Windsor, VT. My work as a Community Family Resource Center Director has required similar Family Case Management interventions. I enjoy doing this work and have a lot of experience at it. R E S U M E: Paul A.
