Paul's Story
I know somebody somewhere knows where I was from 1971 thru 1985. At some point, kindly share that info with me! Actually, after skipping school to attend the anti-war moratoriums at the Boston Common while in HS, I ended up joining the Army and spent a couple of years in Germany (West Germany then!)as a programmer test station operator for the Army's nuclear missile sytem, the Pershing Missile. After the Army was done fine tuning my ability to drink German beer, jagermeister, and wines of various variety in massive, mind-numbing quantities, not to mention the other illicit substances of the time, I came back to the states and embarked upon my college career. And I would have stayed there forever, if my GI Bill hadn't run out! I received my Bachelor's from Stonehill, started working at a...Expand for more
liquor store, and that's when the memories get vague.....! I re-joined society in March of 1985, got married in 1989, we had our daughter Maire Caitlin in 1995, 18 days before I turned 42 - then the real fun began! Life is a wonderful gift from God, and I have been, and am, richly blessed. I am grateful for my family and for all the wonderful, colorful friends and characters I have met along the path! Music is indeed the ONLY sensual pleasure without vice, and as Dan Fogelberg so eloquently sang, "Joy at the start, fear in the journey, joy in the coming home. A part of the heart is lost in the learning, somewhere along the road." Today, I accept each day with a grateful heart, and try to learn the new lessons with more dignity and grace than I did in my earlier years. It's all good!!!!
