Paul's Story
Get ready to be bored stiff: After graduation things were slow I ended up in Chelsey Navel Hospital for a year. I was to stuborn to die. Moved to Maine with my parents where I worked for the Air Force as a cook till 1967. Them I moved to Hampton Beach New Hampshire. I went to Nursing school at Sacred Heart Hospital, Graduated. Then Went to Haiti for 2 1/2 years doing medical missionary work with the Oblate Fathers out of Lowell Mass. I delivered over 500 babies while there as well as setting broken bones, pulling teeth and every thing you can immagine a doctor would do. I was an RN but I was doctor, nurse, pharmacy, lab and counsiler teacher.
I told you it was boring. Then I went into the Air Force and was sent to Viet Nam for 18 months. There I was assigned to Army Mash Units all over the country on the front lines most of the time. I saw and did things there that no one should ever have to see or do. That was my dark time. After serving my 2 years I got out and kick my self in the ass fordoing so. Went in the service as a 2nd lt., made 1st Lt. after basic. spent 6 months at Pease AFB Portsmouth NH. PCSed to Viet Nam. made captian after 2 weeks and Major after 1 year. I was offered Lt. take. I divorcied her tramp self. Later had 1 son by a girlfriend, (my bright spot), nov 20 1981. I worked all over the country in ERs, criminally insane Units, pediatrics, OR and Recovery. after 26 years of that I retired. I went to work for Western Auto, Then a GoodYear tire store and then retired again in 2005. I now live in Ontario Canada on the tip of Lake Huron. I walk out my back door 150 feet to the lake. I have 2 pets they are my children now. I have Budwiser my 7 year old blood hound-lab-mutt, (120 lbs.). And I have Mattie my 65 pound ball of mussel Germ-aussie shepherd. Her mom was Aussi shep and dad was german shep.
Now there is som really good stuff. The house just sold so I am moving to Costa Rica to live and have a small resort of 8-10 rooms. So keep in touch you could come visit me at the resort and stay for a week or 2 in the beautiful central american country. I will be going to look for my new home on Feb 1-16. Hopefully I will be successful in finding the rightr spot. So now you know it all.
Up date, I have been here in beautiful Costa Rica for 2 years now and have no intension of ever going back to live in the US. I live in paradise and I will die here along with the dogs that came with me. They are doing fin as I am and the weather couldnt be better. Pura Vida (pure Life)..
