Life Balto and Patterson Park friends: When people here inquire about me, I always end up talking about Baltimore, a city that I love. And whenever I talk about Baltimore, I end up talking about Patterson Park, Highlandtown, Eastern Avenue, etc. My favorite places. After Patterson, Bucknell, army, Bucknell again, Johns Hopkins, Geo Washinton. Career in teaching. Former students: After 10 very happy years at Mont Blair, I transf to Paint Branch in 1969, the year that PB opened. Another 12 happy years, esp Orientation to Lang and Humanities courses. Sadly, moved from Paint Branch to Springbrook, the most miserable experience of my career. I left Sbrook and taught at Magruder for the rest of my career. Retired from high school teaching in 1985. Traveled in Europe for one year, spending most of my time in Florence. Arranged to return to the US but stopped off at Cornwall, England, and met a lady whom I later married...Gloria. That's how I ended up living in England. She had a three year old at the time and she wanted him to go through the English schools. He's out of school now but we're still here. When I returned to the US in November 1986 from my year in Europe, I started teaching at the Detention Centre for Mont Coll. I taught there for three years while I was corresponding with Gloria.
