Paul's Story

Life 3 kids, Will, Heather and Julie. Will is a graduate from U of MD in Mech. Engineering, and he is getting married to Rebecca Condon on Jun 2 2012, Heather is a Registered Nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital and single and Julie graduated with a BS in Psychology in 2010. I retired from the Navy after 21 years as Chief Corpsman. School Biggest Crush - Wow, My first friend Colleen Weberski in Hawaii. Then Penny Price, then Robin Channel-Jones. then Debra Jacobson of Bristol CT, Teachers - Mr. Hartung (Hiliarious) Ms.Wentz (Art class). Do it all again, sure, but would be a better student and maybe attend college out of HS instead of the Military Career. But I am happy with the decisions I made with family I have 3 FANTASTIC children, Will, Heather and Julie my Three wonderful children, Funniest - Happiest (Mr. Hartung's classes) Great Biology Teacher. College I attend off campus education through the Military Hospital I was last stationed at. (NNMC) Those 8 hour, every other weekend for 18 months to get my degree. - whew..... Workplace Military, Military and more Military - US Navy for 21 years. Now a Radiology Manager at a you guessed it a US Navy Hospital. Military Entered boot camp at Great Lakes Ill. June 1975, a year after graduating from BRHS. Went on to Hospital Corpsman School and became a Corpsman. Transfered to the Marines in Camp Lejeune in February 1976. king a Med Cruise with them, after returning to the states, went to 3/6 and Cruised again to the Med. Upon return went to LSB (Landing Support Blt) there until discharge in Jun 79. 2 days later, went active Reserves for a year at Andrews AFB. In Jan 1981, I re-upd and transfered to Fort Meade (Naval Security Group Activity. I remained there until Feb 1983 where I transfered to Naval Hospital Oakland, Naval School of Health Science for Xray School (Basic). 3 months later I graduated and was transfered to the USS Denver. Reported July 1983. Stayed there for 4 yrs. Transfering to NSHS San Diego for Xray (Advanced School) in 1986/7. After graduation I transfered to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda where I was TAD to the USNS Comfort during the first Gulf War in 1990. Upon return I was selected for Chief Petty Officer. In Dec 1991 I transfered to the Branch Medical Clinic Washington Navy Yard where I served as Leading Chief Petty Officer until Feb 1994. I transfered back to NNMC to take over the duties as Head of Customer Support, Management Information Department. In June of 1996 I retired after 21 years of Service. Currently Medically retired and on SSI. Slowly writing a book about my life as a child, growing up as the "The Son of a Sailor" talk about the transitions from my first memories and some of the dumb things I did as a child and throughout my teenage years through my life to now.
