Paul's Story
Life
After leaving Hiawassee, I moved to Roxboro, NC. I graduated in '89 and attended Faulkner University in AL. Graduating in 3 years with a B. A. in Bible, I moved on to Henderson, TN to Freed-Hardeman University where I earned a Master of Ministry degree as well as a Master of Education degree with a teaching licensure in biology. It was at FHU that I met my wife, Rachel, from Canton, GA. We married in August 1995 and moved to Iasi, Romania in 2000 to do mission work for the churches of Christ. hs. I have two beautiful little girls. The oldest in Jewell who turns 8 on October 29th. The youngest in Ana who is 5. We are - as Ana says - a "hap fam." It's kind of corny but when you love your family, corny is okay. Whenever anyone has asked where I'm from, I always consider Hiawasee to be my "hometown." I need to get back there for a class reunion. Our family likes to go camping & hiking. We've traveled a lot since we've been in Romania. We've also been to Greece and we're going to Germany in November. We read a lot together. I'm reading "Harry Potter" to the girls right now.
