Paul Hooper:  

I spent the summer after graduation on a towboat (M/V Lady Kimberly) pushing barges up and down the Mississippi and Ohio rivers non-stop for 82 days. My family moved to FL while I was gone but I went to Morris Harvey for Freshman year. Transferred to Florida Technological University (now UCF) and graduated June 1972. Went into the USAF Nov 72, commissioned 2LT 8 Feb 73 went to Pilot Training at Moody AFB, GA graduated Apr 74, assigned C-130, attended C-130 and survival schools arrived Kadena AB, Japan August 74. Squadron moved to Yokota AB, Japan. Married Michele. Upgraded to Aircraft Commander Nov 76. Transferred to USAF Academy June 78 as Instructor Pilot T-41C. Soloed 48 cadets. Left Michele there (at her request). Assigned 1st Special Operations Sq, Clark AB, Philippines flying MC-130E - April 1982.
