Paul Murphy:

CLASS OF 1966
Miami, FL

Paul's Story

Life Married my High School Sweetheart at 18 (we are still happily married). In Jan. of my sr. year, I transferred to Palmetto and graduated from there. Went to MDCC and then Nova Univ. We lived in the Killian/Kendall area. Received B.S. Mgmt and went on to get an MBA from Nova. Moved to Gainesville in Jan. 1980. Miami too crowded! Thankfully, just before Mariel. Moved to Tampa in 1983 and have lived on the west coast of FL since. We have 2 children and now 2 grand children (boys - 4 and 7). Spent 25 years in the electronics industry, became a business consultant and now own and operate 4 companies. My life has become more complex and hectic as time goes on. One of the companies is an electronic contract manufacturing operation in southern China. We used to go 4 times...Expand for more
a year but the trip is very arduous. I also have a construction company with two offices in north and south FL. My travel schedule is relentless. I actually live in two different places right now. I miss Miami as it used to be. Every time I go back, I'm glad I left. I hope all the friends I have lost contact with have had good, healthy, meaningful and family oriented lives. I love to snow ski, cruise on my boat and travel to parts of the country/world that are interesting (when I can find the time). One of my favorite area to visit is Sonoma and Napa, CA. Last week (11/9/07) I had dinner at Joe's Stone Crab on Miami Beach. It is still very good. Family and good friends are cornerstones of happiness. I would welcome the opportunity to correspond with you. God Bless!
