Paul's Story
Life
Married Terri Dubuque in 1982, divorced in 1999. 2 daughters, Jennifer 21, Rachel 18...Asst. Fire Chief in Enfield.("Acting" hopefully permanent!) Terri remarried 1st, then me, December 2001, to the lovely Pamela! We reside in Enfield, with my girls not too far away. Just recently moved. Nice place with plenty of room for entertaining. Give me a call, Im in the book!
School
School was alot of fun. I didnt concentrate on college, wish I had. I attended the New Haven Fire Academy and thats were I got most of my training. It wasnt until a couple years ago that the Academy was build in Windsor Locks. I could have saved alot on gas! Since 9-11-01, I have been doing extensive training with Dept. of Homeland Security. Its unfortunate that I now get to travel for training at the expense of the lives lost. (To Chief Ray Downey and others, may you rest in peace).
As far as high school, I grew up quick and learned alot. I had alot of crushes and some of you may have never been aware. Those of you who did, I hope we had fun & I made you smile. :)
Reunion 2000 & 2...Expand for more
005 were fun. If I missed chatted with some of you, I do apoligize. Drop me an email.
College
Believe it or not....I finally can add some college stuff. I'm attending Capital Community College, working on my Fire Administration degree. Yeah, all that time at the Fire Academy really does count! Im almost done. Why didnt I think of this before? Hahaha!
Workplace
Immediately out of high school, I went to work for the police dept, then an opening came up on the fire dept and I switched careers. I worked part time for the State Police doing Auxillary work and almost made another career change. What stopped me was that the FD provided me with a bed & pillow. Its tough sleeping in a cruiser!!! LOL. I've been promoted a few times and have enjoyed my career..25yrs so far! *** Just celebrated my 25 yrs in the Fire Department and last week they promoted me offically to Assistant Chief. I'm very happy to serve as 2nd in Command. I'm looking forward to trying new and innovated ideas. We have a great bunch of guys who I know are just waiting for the next big adventure!!!!
