Paul's Story
Life
Spent 21 years flying for the USAF on KC-135s and KC-10s. Stationed at Scott (CE), Grissom (SAC), Castle (CCTS), Edwards (Flight Test), Scott (AMC IG), and Travis (15th AF). Flew in Operation JUST CAUSE, DESERT SHIELD, DESERT STORM, and Homeland defense (amongst many other operations). Retired and started working for Boeing as an engineer on space launch vehicles and satellite systems in Huntington Beach, CA (yes, I was a rocket scientist). Lived in Seal Beach, just 4 miles from the ocean and 7 miles from Disneyland. Moved from there to St. Louis to be near my son. Worked as an engineer on C-17 flight simulators, then moved to a human factors engineering positio...Expand for more
n on a UAV program. After that, had an opportunity to return to flight test (and still be within a day from my son), so, moved to exciting Wichita, KS, where I serve as a lead flight test engineer on the KC-767 program.
I often fly as a private pilot, and teach undergraduate and graduate system safety, aviation safety, human factors, aircraft and spacecraft development, and aerospace operations classes for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on McConnell AFB. My son and I enjoy our '66 Fastback, and I occasionally still get out on the bike.
All these years, and still crazy about airplanes and rockets (and of course, my son) :-)
I'm also on myspace, too: maverick135
