Paul's Story
Life
I grew up in Huntsville Alabama from the time I was eight years old. After college at UAH, I went to work in Huntsville but got laid off in the defense industry downturn in 1994.
At that time, I moved to Tuscaloosa where I got my master's degree in engineering and met my wife, Julie. After a (very) short stint in Birmingham, we moved back to Huntsville where we've been since 1997.
We have two sons, James Paul, Jr (JP for short), and Julian. They were born in 1999 and 2005, respectively. JP is in Cub Scouts, plays piano and football and does karate. Julian is your typical two-year-old. Read: headstrong, but sweet. We are homeschooling our kids.
Julie is a stay-at-home mom with a degree in biology and chemistry, or as she puts it, she's a domestic biologist. She likes to sing in the choir at church and she's quite the soloist, as well.

partment when we met in the summer of '95. I remember looking up at her on stage and thinking "Hmm, she's cute, surely she won't go out with me." We met the next week at a party, talked all night, and nearly twelve years later, we are still very much in love. Aww shucks, ain't that sweet. <Gag> Yes, I know I'm a sap.
As for me (this is MY bio, after all), I am currently working as a senior engineer at a small systems engineering management consulting firm. My primary job is functional modeling for the upper stage of the new Ares system that NASA intends to take to the moon. In my non-existent spare time, I am also a graduate student. My goal is to get my PhD in applied statistics from the University of Alabama. However, that will eventually require a move back to Tuscaloosa. We shall see...
At any rate, if you've read this far into my ramblings without giving up, you are a better person than average. Kudos to you.
