School
Hi gang! About all I remember from high school was a lot of Elton John and Moody Blues playing through the sound system. Oh, and everyone else had a Trans-Am. Usually they had "Dark Side of the Moon" playing on the 8-track. There were three other members of my circle of friends named "Paul, Paul & Paul". Actually when the 4th Paul came in the girls said, "ok, just FORGET about any more Pauls". There was a really smart young lady named Kim who would fall asleep (exactly like me) in the back row of our Mythology class (wonder why I never remember anything?). College
Two weeks at Johnson County Community College.
It was fun,
while it
lasted.
Workplace
Got into the paperhanging trade in 1986, Philadelphia. School of Hard Knocks. Self-employed, one-man-op. Member: National Guild of Professional Paperhangers. The trade has changed a good bit in 20 yrs., went from being mainly homeowner-direct (high-volume/low-end residential) to interior designer sub-contracting (low-volume/high-end residential).
Lately though, with so few people wanting to become one of the poor souls who hangs wallpaper for a living, I'm being pounded with work. The jobs are getting larger and larger. After relocating to the Charlotte, NC metro area in '98 (known as a poor wallpaper market) I seem to take about 1/4 of the market share (just my perception) .
Military
