Paul's Story

Life Let's see... I have moved into an apartment after living at the God-awful dorms. I lost my computer thanks to them! >:o( I had moved into a three bedroom apartment with some roommates. Two of which were friends from the previously mentioned dorms. But, after a while of living with them, they turned into assholes. When the lease was up, I moved into a four bedroom apartment in the same complex with the only cool roommate I had and his girlfriend. I had found the love of my life on the day of August 7th, 2001. He now lives with me in my new apartment. That's right... I said 'HE'! ;o) But, who didn't know, huh? Everyone knew me the moment I came out. After moving out of the four bedroom apartmet, my mate and I lived at some other apartments for about a year before moving to the apartments we live at now. We've been together for a little over four years as of November 2005. I am looking forward to the possibility of more college after a disaterous Fall 2000 and Spring 2001 semester and a successful Spring and Fall 2002 and then another failure of a semester. I was actually dismissed from the University of Texas at San Antonio for having too low a GPA, but that didn't discourage me from trying, again. And, it shouldn't discourage me, again. I've made many great and wonderful friends here. Moving away from Grand Prairie was probably the single best thing of my life. Without having done so, I would never have found my love or my friends. I ended up in the hospital on February 20, 2007. It started with abdominal pain that turned severe and which turned out to be an inflamed and swollen spleen. The swelling was caused by the leukemia...Expand for more
. My white cell count was 20 times above normal in the hospital. That has been brought down to normal levels, but on the 26th of September of 2007, I shall have more detail about the progression of my leukemia treatment. Cancer sucks. School Well, I was born in Arlington, TX. Spent over 18 of my years in Grand Prairie. Went to Sam Rayburn Elementary, Kennedy Middle School, and then South Grand Prairie High School. I still wear my class ring. I attend the University of Texas at San Antonio. I miss a lot of people I knew in high school. Vicky, Krystal Perkins, Tu... Hmm.... funny those are all chicks. :oP College My college experience was great. It was there that I took on swearing, alcohol and certain recreational drugs sometimes. It was all fun, except for the homework and all. The class I will remember the most: My Japanese class. That's right. I have German AND Japanese language ability, now. Workplace Well, the first job I ever had was when I was in my sophomore year in high school. It was the coolest job I ever had. Every job after that was just kinda downhill. My first job was at Microplay, a video game store. I worked there for about 6 months, the longest I have ever worked, anywhere. My second job was at AMC Theaters, the one that used to be at the 303 Mall (Fiesta Marketplace). Then, when I moved to San Antonio, I got a job at SITEL, a telemarketing place. BLECH! I worked there for only a month. Then, I worked at Albertson's for a few months. The last job I held was at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Then some time around March of 2004, I held another call-center job for about a month before leaving. Unemployed, again.
