Life
Born in Detroit, MI on 9-12-36 to Floyd and Myrtle Pifer Graham. Attended Columbus Elem. until May of my 1st grade year and then moved to a farm in Raisin Twp. Attended Raisin#7, a one room country school through grade 7 and then Tecumseh High, graduating in June of '54. Joined Navy in Sept of '54 for 3 years. Stationed at Great Lakes, Norman, OK., Memphis, TN and Brunswick, GA. Hillsdale College in Sept '57 to Aug '60. Graduated with a BA in history and began teaching at Sand Creek (6th gr) in Sept. '60. Taught there one year, resigned at Sand Creek and immediately hired by Hudson and taught 5th grade at the Clayton School for 3 years. Got my MA from Siena Heights in June '64. Going back to July of '55, married Joyce Taylor while in the Navy and moved to Brunswick, GA., where Ken was born in Aug '57. Joan was born in July of '64, just before accepting the BES principalship. He is now a trucker and she teaches at Vandercook Lake Schools. We have 6 grandchildren ranging from 10 to 17. Joyce and I live on a farm in Woodstock TWP. I no longer farm, but rent it out and collect an annual check. We attend the Jackson Free Methodist Church in MI and the First Church of the Nazarene in Ocala, FL. We both read a lot and enjoy friends and travel. We've been in 18 countries and on 5 continents.
