Military
Was drafted in October 1969, the last draftee from Juneau, Local Board No. 3. Did basic training at Fort Lewis, then was sent to Ft. Sill, OK for Artillery Training. There I instead became a company clerk, and worked on the Base newspaper for about a...Expand for more
year. After that I was sent to Korea where I was again a Company Clerk, HHQ Co. 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. After a total of a year, 9 months and 14 days, I got an early drop to go to law school at the University of Oregon. Started there in Sept. 1971.
