Paula's Story
I was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School Class of 1981. After High School I attended Quinsigamond Community College for a while and studied Early Childhood Education, then worked various sales and cashier jobs including: Grossman Lumber: Worcester, MA Nutrisystem Weight Loss:Worcester, MA Lechmere : Worcester, MA in the small appliance department, bedding, sports, jewelry, cash registers and cash office. I then was married and had two wonderful children that I wanted to be home with. I took courses through Child Care Connection and Yours for Children Inc. and owned and operated a Massachusetts Licensed Daycare from my home in the 90's for approximately 10 years and had many wonderful children and families for many years . My philosophy was the children were having fun while learning in an environment that offered nurturing care and an opportunity to develop intellectual, emotional, social and physical skills at the same time. I provided nutritious meals and snacks and taught the children the importance of healthy eating.

Child Care Provider ended when I was faced with the news I needed two major operations.I also was going through a divorce at the time not a happy time in my life but not the end of the world either!
After my recovery from my major events, I worked as a receptionist/team leader at Tanfabulous Tanning Salon in Shrewsbury, MA where I had the best customers and team to work with. I was more of a take charge person and provided ongoing sales support training for my team to perform their best. I had an excellent rapport with my team , customers, and owner of the salon. I did marketing for the company to generate business. Customers always enjoyed coming in to the salon and I always enjoyed waiting on them. Other employees could always depend on me to cover for them if needed. A job I miss. My boss always said I was trustworthy, hardworking, loyal and fun. I really miss that job!!! I had to leave for medical reasons and for the fact my car isn't repairable. Thank the Lord I was!
Since then I recently became engaged and actively looking for part time work.
