Paula's Story
Life
Classmates,
As a former Bostonian, educated in the Boston Public School System, I have to come to realize that an education is the foundation for this journey we call "LIFE'.
I now work in Education, and know that when we were the first large number of African American students to participate in Open Enrollment that led the end of segregation in our school system. The dirty little secret Boston has still todayas we know it as
racism is my classmates , still alive and
too acceptable today.
We are from Brighton, Mighty Mighty
Brighton".Let"s Continue to make a lot
of changes for the better, for our c...Expand for more
hildren, for our communities and our
world. Oh yeah, I was also a 4-h club
leader, in the urban city. Thats part of
our pledge.
I know that most of us have done well
so for, at least I hope so. Ihaven't been
in Boston for the past 20 years, and somehow I hope the city has changed.
I saw the Big Dig on the learning channel and was amazed,Iguess thats
been one of the biggest accomplishments, since graduating our class. Iheard they tore the school
