Paula Downey Dunlap:  

Life (updated 2/21/2024) in 2023 the love of my life Ron got his angel wings. I miss him very much and think of him daily. Wow, school never prepared you for life after losing a spouse. After Ron retired in 2015 we had moved to North Carolina so that is where I am living currently. I do hope to make one more trip to California. (updated 11/14/2008) When in school, you knew me as Paula Downey. I went to Camden High(67-68), Campbell High(68-69), and Live Oak High in Morgan Hill(69-70). I was married in 1970(as Paula Hughes). I have lived in California, Nevada, Wisconsin, Missouri, Texas, Arizona & South Carolina and am now currently back in California. Would love to see old friends. In the early 70's I worked at Deluxe Check Printers. For the most recent job I worked as a medical transcriber from my home(have done so for the past 12 years). It keeps me busy. NEW Chapter: (Written-Nov. 14, 2008) My first marriage ended a couple of years ago after 35 years and in 2006 I received a "CLASSMATES" message from an old friend & co-worker from Deluxe Check Printers (Ron Dunlap)- the "Man of my Dreams". Ron was also my sister Carol's supervisor (little did he know back then that someday she would be his sister-in-law). Ron & I were both married at the time to other people but we did have a crush on each other back in the early 70's. Since we were both married our friendship could not go any further than just being friends at the time and eventually lost contact once we both left Deluxe and moved out of the area. Throughout the years Ron often thought of me (Paula) and I often thought of Ron, always wondering whatever happened to each other. On (June 9, 2006)Ron sent me a message through "Classmates" asking if it was me. My heart was throbbing once again and we had a long distance classmate reunion and relationship for several months exchanging classmates messages several times a day as I lived on the East Coast and he lived on the West Coast.
