aula:"Though Nixa is listed as my hometown, I've lived in Kansas City, MO, Memphis, TN, Clarksdale, MS and graduated in Springfield's Parkview High. My favorite place was Kansas City, lived there in the '60's when it was a safer place. I was very shy while in school, but learned to open up when I decided life was too limiting. Developed a sense of humor, which I probably inherited from my Farris side. A favorite aunt became my mentor and helped me discover a love for art. Pretty content with my life, especially since retiring over 5 years ago. I absolutely love being a grandmother. Enjoy painting in watercolor and currently studying oils with Gerri Kolb in Ozark, MO. Learning to love that too.".
