Paula's Story
...I was the "New" Kid; Fresh from Washington,DC. Stayed with my grandparents-Glen & Ema Peters ...mostly during the Summers; while my Parents partied it Up with the White House crowd in Arlington. I had lived WAAAY up in the 3rd (3-sided) building at the River House 1600 in DC...across the "Street" from the Pentagon-where my Dad worked. My mom worked for Nixon as his exec secretary... and also for Mr. Harry S Dent. I was a Political kid-a Republican-type...and believe me... I did NOT know How to Act in a town like Chickasha!
I drove a pale, pink Caddy for awhile, til I totaled it...driving Lonnie Brown around one fine day.A friend of mine was Kathy Chatham, Mia Chaney and some kids from my church-1st Christian Church.

Hijacked me and sent me to the middle of Nowhere! After a few years, I got to know and better understand the other kids from this wonderful little town. They were so "real"... so down to earth. They weren't About Wearing the coolest threads, the most expensive shoes and collecting the latest Hip music.
I like Chickasha. I admired the kids...and especially Some of the kids that didn't mock me when they found out that I had a Major Comic book collection, loved to read Sci-Fi, Sax Rommer and More Sci-Fi. I was a Classical and Ragtime pianist, took ballet and loved to style Hair. Carey Miller used to let me read his Favorite comics-and I guess that he and his friends finally found out that I was a "Geek-in-Hiding!"
Love you ALL! Good memories. Thanks for making me into a "Regular" Person! Jill Harrison
