Paula's Story
Well, when I graduated I got a job in Washington DC and worked there until October of that year. During the summer a friend of mine and I went to White Lake NC for vacation and I met my future first husband. We got married in October 1975. My daughter, Toni and I moved to North Carolina and started a new life there. She was 10 months old. My first husband adopted her as his own. The next year I had my second daughter, Denise. Our marriage lasted til 1983. I worked as an EMT in the Emergency Room at a local hospital from 1977 til 1982. I then joined the military to future my education. I wanted to be a nurse. I went to Nursing school in the military. I also got divorced in 1983 from my first husband and met my second husband that year. I remarried in 1984. I got stationed in Fort Lewis Washington. o, higher ranking than I, and he got transfered to Ft Benning Georgia. We stayed in Columbus Georgia til he retired in 1991. We separated at that time, he went to Texas to take care of his elderly mother and I returned to North Carolina where my family are. At the present time, I have 3 grandchildren, 2 granddaughters, Bailey - 12 years old, Koreigh 1 month old by Denise; and one grandson, Ayden - 7 years old by Toni; Grandchildren are great !!!!!
I love motorcycles too.. Had a Harley last year but totaled it. Had a mini stroke while I was riding it and rendered unconsciousness and wrecked. The Good Lord wasn't ready for me yet - watched over me; he walks with me each and every day and guides me. Can't make it without HIM. Working on getting me another one this summer.
I'm doing great. Got a few medical problems but nothing that slows me down too much.
