Paula's Story

Hi, I am newly widowed and live in the Pinson area. I lost my husband, Joe, to a heart attack and stroke back in August. It has been a tough year but I am learning to cope on my own with God's help. I have two grown sons and five grandchildren. I have worked at the Lucille Stewart Beeson Law Library at Samford University for 20 years. I am raising my oldest grandson, D.J. who is 12 and is handicapped. D.J. does not walk but he is a happy precious child who brings me great joy. He is so loveable and charms everyone he meets. classmates. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bathroom and add on a whirlpool tub. My dream home would be I'm happy where I am.. I watch HGTV and CMT. I like to watch HSN and QVC when they have jewelry shows. I really enjoy going to music concerts and occassionally to the comedy club to see James Gregory. He's hilarious. My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be terribly old. I was so completely wrong. I don't dress according to fashion. I wear what looks good on me. I share my home with my granson and sister, which I find very rewarding.
