Paula's Story

Life After my 15-year marriage ended in 2001, I began to work toward designing and building my own home! That became a reality in 2006 when Mark Roomsburg finished my house! I love it! I am in my 26th year of teaching and am very happy at my school! ***UPDATE!!! (4/28/08)Well, I am leaving the Mountain State, and my new house is on the market...I am moving to Pennsylvania! I have met a wonderful man and we became engaged on March 1st, 2008!! Our wedding will be a small, initmate, quiet ceremony on October 12th, 2008. We both have put our homes into the hands of Realtors, and are in the process of building a home that suits us! I have never been happier and we are looking forward to our future together! **Update on the update!!! Dave and I were married on October 12th, 2008, which was the one year anniversary of our first date! We have also just completed the building of our new home and moved into it shortly after the wedding! Dave is such a loving and special person and I am so happy we found each other. We are looking forward to spending many happy years together! My teaching career has been most challenging and rewarding. I am just completeing my 27th year ~ Oh my, where DID th...Expand for more
e time go??! I have been chosen as the Teacher of the Year for my school twice, and was inducted into Who's Who Among America's Teachers for the 2005 school year! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working on my house, landscaping, and traveling any chance I get! During the summer of 2005, Dianne (Rayl) Winterberg and I traveled to France and spent ten days in Monaco, Monte Carlo, Nice, Beausoliel, and Cap d'Ail, and even managed an overnight stay in London on our way home....it was a fantastic trip! I hope each of you are doing well in your lives and are healthy and happy! Please email me and let me know how you are! School In May of 2003, I earned my second Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State University with a 4.00 GPA, Yippee!! It took me nearly 5 years to earn it because I took the "classes" while working full time, and I used their Distance Learning Program. All of the lectures were sent to me on video tapes and I had to work through each class and lesson based on the lectures on each video tape! The Program also included the completion of a 650-page Thesis! It was quite a challenge and I am extremely proud of this accomplishment!
