Paulette's Story
Life
After I graduated from Abramson, I attend LSUBR. I got married in 1973 during my junior year. In 1975 I took some time off to be a Mom, returned in 1977 and graduated. A couple a years later, I was divorced, returned to New Orleans briefly and entered Maison Blanche's Buyer Training program.
In 1980, I entered the USAF as a Supply and Logistics Officer, and in addition to my stateside bases, I was also stationed in the Phillipines and Turkey. As part of my career as a USAF Program Manager, I had the privelege of traveling to and working in Hawaii and several other countries, including England, Germany, Korea, and Japan.
I met my wonderful husband of 25 years while we were both stationed in the Phillipines as single parents, and became a yours, mine ours...Expand for more
clan and loved it. Our three older children are launched - our two girls are married and have each given us 3 beautiful grandchildren. Our youngest graduated from LSU.
After retiring from the USAF, and settling in San Antonio, TX, I returned to school to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I also earned a doctorate in International Education and Entrepreneurship. As part of these studies, I had the experience of living with a family in Cuernevaca, Mexico to study the culture and take an Intensive Spanish course. I also spent 6 months in my international internship doing cultural immersion and teaching English in Guangzhou, China.
We have been living in the Atlanta area for the past 2 years and love it here.
