Paulette's Story

Hello everyone down there in the lower 48! Im writing this when our temp is 68 and it is in the 100's in the east coast! Im so sorry for you all. You can stop in for a quick cool off up here if your in the neighborhood! After graduating from Mott, I went to college in South Carolina, then got married to a great guy named Jon who joined the Air Force. After 27 years of being happily married,he died of a heart Attack. We had three sons, Jon, Chris, Jimmy. after Jon died, We moved to Alaska where a friend of my husbands lived. His name is Terry, and I eventually married him. So all three boys are up here with me,which I absolutely love! One is married and is a pastor with 2 sons, one is in a neurosurgeons office, and the third is in college in Wyoming. He has 2 children, a boy and a girl. I also have 2 more step daughters and a wonderful step son who is married with 2 sons. So total family on Christmas morning is 16 people,5 huge dogs and alot of fun, noice, and chaos! I have my degree in teaching and work for the Air Force Base in Anchorage Alaska. Im fighting old age but I think it is winning. Anyonehave a secret remedy? Hope to hear from some of you! I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right!. OK here are some of the answers to the questions that were asked.I take walks to destress,(but have to watch for bears so its not real relaxing), scrapbooking and reading, and remodeling our old house. Chocolate is a great help! What do I need to make a great day at work? If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have chocolate, diet Dr. Pepper, and tylenol to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Whos my hero? Myhero is the Lord. He has been with me through alot of the ...Expand for more
heartaches in my life. How does he still love me after all Ive done? The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my husband Jon, because I never got to say I love you and good bye one more time.. What is my biggest obsession? I guess I am obsessed with a clean house, and my family, chocolate and pop! If I could improve my home, I'd remodel everything and add on a hot tub!. My dream home would be finished!.also maybe on a beach somewhere! What have I learned from my kids? Life goes by to fast. Love them lots more, slow down, spend more time, and alot more hugs and kisses, bed time stories and laughter! If I won $100 million, I'd give lots of it to the Lord, then spend the rest on my family, medical research and chocolate--of course!. Talk about dorm life? Dorm life? That just plain was a night mare! Most of it anyway! To noisy, to dirty,to much homework, lost sleep, junk food and dumb decisions! My current age is to old!. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead!. I was so completely shocked to find out many are, or at least act like it!. my greatest career imspiration now is retire and hang out on a beach in Maui! I have no idea what happened to my first crush. I had so many first crushes!! My best friend would tell you I'm a real nut, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a regular nut!. I share my home with my husband and 2 of the hairiest shedding yellow labs youve ever seen!, which I find dog hair on my butter!. my trophies and victories are the fact that I didnt kill my kids growing up so would have the perfect grandchildren! Where do I want to be in 10 years? In 10 years, I hope to be retired, and tan. I'm going to get there by an airplane or slow boat to Hawaii!.
