Life
MEL Henderson is a proven producer in many
fields. Educated in business, public relations,
advertising, and broadcast journalism, she has
used all of her learned skills and experience to
create a career that encompasses each of those
areas and more. She has worked as a print and
television journalist, then segued into producing
major television documentaries which led to
positions in the corporate world, and the art
world. Henderson is also very active in
philanthropic endeavors.
As President of Gabrielle Productions,
Henderson runs the media consultant company,
providing direction for development, production,
and execution of television and film projects such
as the l997 PBS weekly prime time series entitled,
ANCESTORS. In addition to RST Films, Inc., her
current client lists also include KOCE-TV, the
l4th largest PBS station in the U.S. Henderson is

Director to assist the station in producing and
securing underwriting for current national PBS
projects.
For two years, she was the Director of
Corporate Relations at the Los Angeles County
Museum of Art, and was responsible for developing
and implementing corporate giving activities at
the museum. Among her accomplishments while
serving in this capacity is the wildly popular
exhibition entitled, VAN GOGHÂS VAN GOGHS.
A regular contributor to THE DAILY HERALD in
Utah, Henderson writes on topics ranging from
films, music, and entertainment as well as travel
and exotic destinations. As a special
correspondent, she has reported on the l997, 1998,
l999, and 2000 Cannes Film Festival, as well as
reporting daily via satellite as expedition writer
on the successful philanthropic l997 KILIMANJARO
CLIMB FOR CARE. Her daily reports helped raised
awareness of CAREÂs relief efforts.
