Pearlene's Story
Life
After leaving Dallas in 1974, I moved to Newport Rhode Island. I met my husband there and we have been married for 27 years, with two children, a 19 yr old son, and a 16 yr old daughter. I attended Roger Williams College until we moved to Connecticut in 1980. I have been working for a major pharmaceutical company for 18 years in the Legal Department. ness. I am active in the community as a volunteer in different organizations. I am currently a part of the African Heritage Parade and Festival Committee. I also just completed my third year as chairperson of the Program Committee for the Hord Foundation, an organization which serves as a vehicle to award scholarships to African American students with a desire to attend college.
I have had an interesting life and would love to hear from some of my classmates.
