Peggy's Story

12/09/08 A little more about me! I have been divorced since 1979. I just turned 55 as most of you probably did. I really will try to get some new pics uploaded, however, self portraits are extremely hard. Just look at the one on the note and you'll see what I mean. I was in a hurry to go to dinner for my birthday and snapped it before I left. (Great HUH!!) Ok, so I'll try to do this. "Who am I really?" Does anyone really know for sure? All I can say is, " Hey, I'm me!!" There is nothing about me that would surprise anyone at a high school reunion. At least I don't think there is. I'm using these story ideas and I have to tell you that my favorite teacher was Miss Strayer. She helped me through a very rough year. (5th grade) I believe the worst thing I ever did in shcool was to get caught drinking in the girls locker room and was made to wash windows after school. I can't even remember my first crush let alone what happened to him. I don't really have very many old friends since I was very shy. I also try never to let someones' thoughts about me matter much. I just hope if they do remember me that it would make them laugh or brighten their day. At this time in my life I am truly happy, but to make it better, I would be strecthed out on an isolated beach, soaking up the sun, having frozen margaritas, possibly trying to write a novel, or paint the landscape, and honestly there wouldn't have to be anyone around for miles!! My biggest surprise in life was years ago, when I realized th...Expand for more
at no one, but myself, could make my life the way I wanted it to be. Most of the time when I did try to let others become involved in it, I just felt as if it were a waste of my precious time. For me, my time is precious and I don't like to waste any of it, however if I learned something from it, then it wasn't a waste. If I got one do-over, it would be that I never would have gotten married. It seemed as if it were a waste of eight years of my life. I'm skipping the job part because I don't think any job is really weird as long as you do the best job that you can. Most of my life was spent residing in Fairborn, Ohio, where I raised my two lovely girls. I also have two grandchildren that I love dearly. I now reside in Montana for most of the year.I like the peace and tranquility that it has to offer me. Also for the wide open spaces and beautiful scenery. On a clear day you can see for miles and miles. We have the most wonderful sky and I love the northern lights. (I also like the speed limit as I seem to have a very heavy foot. ha! ha!) Just got one of those little ol' speeding tickets the first of Jan of 2007. Alright, I explained most of these story ideas and hope this is okay, and if not, your time might have been spent doing something a lot more important, or at least a lot more fun. So, this is Peggy Burke signing off and getting on to something else. 2/11/09 Very busy, trying to pack to leave for Everglades City, FL. Will try to check out my classmates while I'm on the road.
