Hi!
I'm currently still working at Medtronic in the Neuro division, I do drug studies with our implantable drug pumps. Been at Medtronic for 25 yrs. either in Microbiology or chemistry/drug Pharma. My original degree (AS)was as a Vet. med. tech where I worked in vet clinics for about 6 yrs., then started at Medtronic and finished my BS degree.
I still love working with animals, so to satisfy that, I volunteer for the DNR and recieved a permit to do wildlife rehabilitation and release. We work with Animal Control and Golden Valley Humane Society, where we get most of the animals, and we also get calls from the public as our name is listed on the DNR website. e majority of the day to day chores. I also do beekeeping.
I have 2 grown children, Elizabeth and Joe, who live in the metro area, no grandkids yet. Layton and I travel someplace warm for 10-14 days in the winter, and summer we usually take fishing/camping vacations in northern MN. In the spring we always have animal orphans, but we take them with us as they have to be fed every 4 hours.
My folks are still healthy and living in the same house in Fridley. All of my 5 brothers and sisters live in the Metro area as well-many nieces and nephews.
I haven't kept in touch with many people from FHS, I know Jeanne Edwards in living in MN, and Sue Nelson in Mpls., LaNette Jacobsen is in California with daughter Lucy. I see John Sommer, Rose Gehrhart and Bev Herkenradt often as they work at Medtronic too.
