Peggy's Story

Being at Sealth High was like being with one large intergraded family. Miss Frank and Mr. White were the two hippest faculty members I had ever encountered and gave me real solid advice. I never forgot them. After Graduation, I worked the summer and then in September of '74, attended the University Of Washington's School of Nursing Program. I started to notice I was helping then Professors teach the class more than I was attending, because it just so happed, when I was working after-school and during the summer, I had been working in Rest Homes and Military Hospitals, receiving knowledge above and beyond just emptying bed pans. So, at the end of my second year I found myself hanging out more at the HUB and just showing up to classes, just to take my test passing with either an A or B grade. I became a "Booster" for the ALPHA PI ALPHA Fraternity helping the new pledgers make it through, hosting car washes and house parties on Frat row. At the end of year three I decided to go to he School of Nursing and ask them to put me in more advanced courses but was told no. ...Expand for more
So with my boredom, I decided to leave and hitch-hike. California (San Diego, San Francisco, Las Angeles, Arvin, Lamont, San Luis Obispo, Pebble Beach, Monterrey, Sausalito,, Bakersfield), Texas, Oklahoma ,Arizona, then Oregon. I worked temp agencies and odd jobs making my way to the places and lived in Ensenada Mexico for six months. Portland was where I got my start in the Music Industry, working at the best Top 40 Radio Station as a Sales Secretary and weekend promotions. I was discovered by Warner Brothers for my organization skills and ask to relocate to Seattle, I did, then we parted professional ways in 1994. I loved everything I did after High School and in between. The good the bad, the fun and the sorrowful times. There are no Wishful "do-overs" . As I continue on my quest, headed toward my 60's (GOOD GOD!), my cat Onyx and I have the Travel bug. I may have slowed down a bit, due to a back injury, but it doesn't keep me from dreaming about the next chapter of my life and what I want for myself. Hope to Hear from some of you real soon that remembers me.
