Life
By the time I landed at Reno High, I was no longer the shy little girl who left Reno four years before. I had attended 12 schools in those 4 years, so I had to learn to be a little more outgoing. I met some amazing people during my travels, but I always liked the ones at Reno the best. It didn't matter what social class you belonged to, I liked most everyone. I still am in contact with a lot of friends from Reno, and still in contact with some pretty great teachers. I had always been involved in music, and was almost always in the choir, and was particularly pleased when I won a music scholarship to UNR and to UC Berkely. r regretted my decision to stay in Reno - I had traveled enough. I worked at various jobs over the years, until I landed a job at Truckee Meadows Community College in 1989. This year, I celebrated 18 years at TMCC and love my job. I have no plans to retire, right now. In 1995, I married a young man that I had known since our return to Reno, and together we have an 8 year old son. Our son goes to St. Albert's school with several of our classmates' children, which is fun. It's also nice to know that I'm not the only one who waited to get married and/or have children! It's funny when we see other classmates who are now grandparents, because we don't feel old enough to have grandkids! C'est La Vie!
