Peggy's Story
I've been blessed with the life God has given to me in the last 45 years. Went to Mizzou. Graduated quite a few times. Became an elementary principal when I was 26. Spent another 35 years practicing. My, how parents and kids changed over that time! I started in Bowling Green, then Jefferson City, then independence. My last 12 years in public education were in Ft. Zumwalt School District here in O'Fallon, Missouri. Retired from public in 1999 to assume the principalship at a Christian school. After six years there, I started a new Christian school in St. Peters. Resigned June (2012) and then got a job as administrative assistant to the president of a trucking company. This sums up the work life part.
Best part of life - other than knowing Jesus - is Tom Barratt. We are the same age. He graduated in 1968 in Bethany, Missouri. It was just like Wellsville but in a different place!...Expand for more
He was at Mizzou at the same time I was but we didn't meet there. We met on the side of the road (literally) in Jefferson City, and fell in love in 1985. We married in 1986. We have now had 27 years of very happy matrimony!!!!!!!!!! We didn't have children so I have no young people's pictures to share. Our greatest treat is travel. We take one week off five times per year and see something new. Had a lot of fun meeting new people and hearing different perspectives on life. We hope to retire in Latin America in a few more years. We're going to Costa Rica on October 18, and to Panama over Christmas. We hope to involve ourselves in ministry wherever we settle.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone. It is amazing to me that it has been 45 years. I'm glad to have this chance to see everyone once again before we take off for parts unknown!
