Peggy's Story
Wow...500 words or less, this is why I was always better at talking than writing! For those who remember me that won't be hard to understand! Well, last
seen in Orinda (not really) in Aug 1965,I went south to UCLA with a bunch of us!
My folks moved north to Wa state at the same time so I never came back for vacations. Also,not able to afford the tuition I quit school 2 years in and started flying for TWA. 1 year later I married my college
sweetheart ( BIG mistake) and
moved to Rialto,Ca starting college over at UCR. Separated, and finally
divorced, I started my flying career over at Western Airlines. After
8 yrs,I remarried 1980 and moved to SF area. Delta bought WAL in 1987, I continued to fly until 2003, when I
took an early retirement offer, which
included health care ( thank the good
lord!). Within months I was working
again for USIS as a field investigator
doing background security clearances
of individuals for the US govt. In

after our last reunion,
I went into the hospital with advanced
liver disease (an undiagnosed child-
hood condition exacerbated by living
"La Dolce Vita" and after awhile, I
got a new liver. About 16 days after
being admitted to CPMC in the city.
During my hospital stay, we moved from
San Mateo (25 yrs)over to a new sub-
division in Brickyard Cove, on the bay
and near Point Richmond. I am now
retired, collecting ss, and going to
school again at the Fromme Institute
on the U of Sf campus, where everyone
is a senior and all classes are elective! That's the way it should be.
I am looking forward to this reunion
so very much, as the last one is kind
of a blur due how ill I was. For all
who are curious, the condition is
called 'alpha one anti-tripsin,and I
suffered from encephelopathy due to a
failing liver. But each day now is a gift, so I try to live in the present,
but I'm still looking forward to the reunion and a trip to Paris in Oct.
