Peggy's Story

I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. The only problem is that I went through two marriages and about to go round three. I always hoped that the man I marry would be forever, have kids and grandchildren, and grow old together and watch my children and grandchildren grow and become successful in life. With my first marriage I had a beautiful baby girl. She is now 24 and will be 25 in January. She has been very successful in life. Went to school to become a nurse and now she's an RN in Florida. Although I miss her dearly with her so far away I know that she's doing well and is happy with what she is doing. With my second marriage and had another girl. She is now 14 and is a challenge but I love her dearly. She misses her big sister so much. I wish that I had the finances to send her down to Florida on holidays and school breaks to spend time with her sister. They are very close and they rely on each other very much. Now with my third relationship, not yet married, I had a son. I've always wanted a boy and I sure got my wish. I guess I should of been more careful about what I wished for, but I love him dearly although he too is a challenge. He's more energetic than the girls ever were, and much different to raise. He's my baby, I love him dearly and he's the last one I'll be having, so I treasure him dearly. I also spoil him too :) Anyway, his daddy I love very much and plan to marry real soon here and plan to grow old with. I found someone that I can actually grow old with! We've been together for 6 years now. I'm not saying we didn't have problems along the way, because we did, but we accepted each other for who were are and worked arou...Expand for more
nd the rough edges. When you truly love someone you're willing to make it work and work hard for it. Along with this relationship I have accepted his two sons who are now 17 and 14. It's been a challenge with them especially when their mother moved to Florida not long after their dad and I hooked up. At first they seemed to accept me and really liked me but once we all moved in together things changed, even with my own daughter (who's 14). They began to resent me because I wasn't their mother and the battles began. Now I have the support of their mother and have a good relationship with her which has helped tremendously for my own support group other than my fiancee. Hopefully things will continue to work. Their getting too grown now and need to start growing up and realize we are a family whose going to stay together and work together with patience and love. Some weekends their other brother and sister who lives with their mother comes to visit us. The girl is 10 and the boy is 8. So as you can see my family has grown in bunches. When you have kids you find whatever you can to relax. Usually I find a way to get all the kids out of the house and sit on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn, my diet coke (or pepsi) and watch a good movie. Or if I'm home with my man than that's the time to take advantage of that one, if you know what I mean. A long walk works wonders as well if the weather permits. All in all chocolate is my ultimate pleasure, next to sex. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Laura Schooley and Yasmin Bachelani, because they were my closest friends in school and I think about them often. There are a few others as well that's why I joined Classmates to see if I can reconnect with my friends..
