Peggy's Story
Hello,
Life...After high school, I attended El Camino and worked for data processing service companies. I got married at 25, divorced at 30 and remarried at the age of 37. My second husband, whom I met at an eye doctor's office, had 2 grown sons; we did not have children. I saw some pics of classmates wedding pics, so I have added mine with Steve. He is 41 and I am 37 in the pic. I joined Northrop Grumman in 1975 and spent 30 plus years with them installing Procurement systems and implementing business solutions, running Company consolidation projects and liaison with the govt. I went to UCLA and got certified in 1991 in Materiel Management. My work led me to live in New York for a short time; Fort Worth area, Texas, for 15 years; with retirement in the Rogers area of Arkansas. Most every person I met in AR was from CA! While in TX I went back to school and graduated at the age of 50 from Dallas Baptist University with a BAS in Business/Management. DBU was a wonderful spiritual journey. I loved living retirement in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas doing boating activities, crafts and motor...Expand for more
cycle riding in the mountains until my husband passed away from Esophageal Cancer in 2014. We were married 27 years. Within 1 1/2 years, I lost my mother, cat, best friend Judy, husband, cousin and then our dog. The dog was the final blow. Nothing was the same after that, and because I was alone, I moved back to CA in November, 2015, close to Yosemite, to be near my younger brother, John, class of '70, and his family. We live 10 miles apart and his wife says I am too far away! I took up serious crafting and sewing in the 90's and enjoy my hobby of designing and creating doll clothes. For those of you who remember my older sister, Janie, class of '64, she passed away in 1997 from cancer at the age of 50; my parents are gone also. My life has definitely been an adventure and not at all what I thought it would be when I left RUHS all those years ago. I have met many interesting and wonderful people along the way. What is it they say, "Life is learned from behind, but it is lived forward." I wish all who read this a happy and wonderful "forward" with lots and lots of happiness and joy.
