Penny Sturgill:  

I got engaged during my senior year to Allen Sturgill we got married six months after graduation. We moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1981 because of the recession. We were there for a little over a year. Our oldest son was born there in 1982. Our youngest son was born after we moved back here in 1984. My younger brother was killed in 1989. He graduated from Stebbins in 1984. He left behind a son and daughter. His daughter graduated from Stebbins this year. Allen started his own company in 1991 and became very successful. Since I took vocational classes in clerical work we worked together until we separated. We were married for 24 years and have been divorced since 2004. We lived in Fairborn for about 20 years. I lived in Beavercreek for a couple of years not far from the mall. I don't regret getting married at 18 years old. We were very happy until the last couple of years of our marriage.
