Penny's Story
Hello Mingus students(haha),
It's me again and I'm still here in the beauitful state of Virginia, loving the fall colors right now. Lets see ummmmm I'm still taking care of my aunt who will be 90 in January. I had the pleasure of voting early with her. I say pleasure because she is nearly blind, can't walk without a walker, my assistance, and alot of time to get where she is going, so we just got er done in our own time.
I have taken up a new sport pretty seriously for a few months now. Running was never my thing but Ihave found out that by doing interval training I have gotten more benefits, less fatigue, and by george am acutally seeing results! See before I just went to the gym, did weight training, and on off days walked a mile or so. Well guess what! That wasn't making me lose but gain of course because of building muscles! Ok enough of that. Ummmmm I finally went to Las Vegas last month and visited with my sons who both live there. For a week I hung out with Michael and Scottie and just had the be...Expand for more
st thime. They are of course very very busy with their own lives but they were glad to see me and we did have a great time. Scottie had a show( he plays guitar, sings)and it turned out to be a real blast. Everyone was dancing, and enjoying his music. Michael also plays and sings but he is more shy about it. They both are just awesome young men and I am so very proud of them. At least my daughter is living here in town so we get together alot. She is working a good job as an aesthetician. Proud of her too! Besides being a caregiver for my aunt I work for my son Michael doing computer ad's for his job. It's fun as you can see I like to type ! I can thank Ms. Fitz for that and Ms. Evans.~smiles~
Living here in Virginia I will tell you that the people are so nice here. I have many friends, alot of my family, my dad lives in North Carolina. I lost my mom in Oct.2006. I miss her so much. But life is good and I hope it's good for my friends from Mingus wherever they are and my bro in the good ole Cottonwood AZ!
