Penny's Story
For most of my adult life I worked as a paralegal beginning with a law firm in Denver,CO where I moved to in 1968. I was there until 1983 when I moved to Tacoma, Washington to be nearer my son, Michael. I went to work for a law firm and returned to school. I got a Bachelor's degree and continued with my education, which resulted in my becoming certified as a Master Hypnotist and later,a Hypbotherapist. I opened an office in Tacoma and enjoyed a thriving part-time practice for 17 years. I retired a couple of years ago from the legal field and last year I closed my Hypnotherapy office. I am now enjoying friends, family, traveling and volunteering with at-risk children in a local elementary school, using in part, my wisdom and experience as a hypnotherapist to help kids overcome shyness, negative self-esteem, and anger issues.
I hope old friends remember me as someone that was fun to be with, someone who laughed a lot and helped people whenever I could.

ometimes I recognize a name, but without pictures, especially a "then" picture to connect it too, it makes identifying people much more difficult. I would love to hear from all of my old friends. Other than relatives, I have lost touch with nearly everyone I knew in Wichita and Council Grove (where I attended grade school). Please post pictures and stories, as I love reading them.
Sincerely

p.s.
I share my home with my three cats, Sammy, Cindi and Shelby, They are all over eight yars old now, and still healthy and happy.
In 1955, I got my first job at Zonker's Drug Store on Hillside and Central, earning a whooping $.35 per hour to make milkshakes and ring up sales. What I remember most about it is getting fired for not making it to work one Sunday afternoon. I had gone to Lake Afton with my family and my dad left not knowing I had to be back by 3:00 so by he time he returned to pick us up, I didn't get to work until 6:00...Bye Bye Penny. I was mad at my dad for the rest of the summer!
