Penny's Story
Update....still alive and RETIRED!! 30 years of working at Kaiser as an LVN then RN.....I never thought I would retire but my husband did and well.....we are having fun together. Still enjoying boating out in the Delta and lakes. So thankful that My husband was a good financial planner....and we still have our house in California!....My husband had a heart attack in '08 and now we have been spending 3-5 times a week at the gym....He is doing great and We both feel good and are able to still enjoy our life. We have 4 grandchildren between us. Life goes on......
Well...looks like our 40th reunion is past!! ...did anyone get together?????
Still working. I bet everyone else is retired by now!!.... I do like my RN job at Kaiser.
My husband retired last June and I am hoping to retire next year....??? but I am such a workaholic I don't know if I am ready or not.
My daugher, Tiffany had our first Grandchild this year....WOW!! I am a Grandma!!....weird feeling!! Little Evan is now 8 months old, so much fun being a Grandma!! actually get to enjoy him, then give him back when he cries...lol......Expand for more
I'm still throwing parties....maybe I should have been a party planner??? Everyone wants to go to my "Penny Parties", last year I did 4 birthday parties, 2 baby showers, 2 weddings, 2 Christmas Parties, and 2 funerals (I don't know if you can say they were parties but they were after the funeral and very nice), I have already had 2 baby showers this year ......the last one was last Saturday for 2 co-workers....YIKES...have to slow down!!! getting too old for this!!!
Anyway life has been like a swing, up and down, I have to say the UP times have been a lot more fun....and I have learned a lot from the down times....but I just keep going higher and higher eventually I know I am going to fall off or trip..but I keep getting back on the swing....
I think of all my teachers from High School and all my friends...I pray that all are doing great and enjoying life....and If I ever hurt anyone I want you to know that I never Meant to do it....REALLY!! so Please forgive me!!! I feel better and I hope you do too!!! HUGS, Penny
