Life
I'm married to Ray Palyshka (graduated 1973), I have a cat and a parrot that keep me entertained. I like to travel when I can....updated: 9/6/2011 (changed "we", "our", etc. to "I", "me", etc. and removed "happily" before married!)
Updated 3/25/03. I'm living my dream! We are traveling the US in an RV! Our first stop is Florida.
3/27/2004. We're back! Hated living in Florida! Besides, I really missed my family. So, we are now living our DREAM in Fremont!
9/6/2011-Yep!...Things change, people change, life changes, and not always for the good or better! If you believe that it does, I have a beautiful green swamp I'll sell you.:) It's actually quite funny, I'd like to remove the "married", and just leave the "happily" living part! I don't feel bad, I don't hate him, it's really no one's fault (really, it's not). But, after 22 years things tend to 'spoil', if you know what I mean.
You see, in 2006, I became very ill. By June I was deadly ill, life-flighted to St. V's in Toledo, where surgeons performed emergency surgery, but even after being hospitalized for about a month or so, I wasn't getting any better, I was getting worse. But because of insurance regulations, the hospital had to release me. I went home, I was dying, my family gathered around me often. I had nurses on duty watching me carefully. I was grey in color, labored breathing, then I stopped breathing. Rushed to Fremont Memorial Hospital. I was then transferred to a 'nursing facility', which was "St. Francis", in Green Springs, OH (its under new ownership now). I was there for seems like a lifetime! Learning how to walk again, do everything again!
Now its October2006, I had a relapse, I was EMS'd back to Fremont Memorial Hospital, then life-flighted to St. V's in Toledo. More surgery, they even h...Expand for more
ad a doctor come in from Peru! There was a lot of doctors and people to create this team to save me. I kept having or going into respirtory failure, while they worked on me. Had respirtory failure even after surgery. They decided it would be best to leave my whole abdomen to be left open after surgery, so they did! Then they induced coma. So, there I was, in a coma, with my abdomen all opened! I didn't know if anyone come to see me, but I was told later that if they did, they had to wear gowns,gloves,masks,caps and booties. I was in a coma for 3 months. (Most of this was all told to me by my husband, my family and doctors months later).
When I finally was released from the hospital, I came home, with home health nurses and aides, and I had no memory, of anything! Plus, I couldn't walk or take care of myself. And my abdomen, was still open, from just under my breast-bone to my pubic/groin area. They put this machine on my abdomen, along with a lot of packing, called a wound-vac, to close the abdomen. I wouldn't look.
Here it is September 2006--I still can't walk, have memory lapses, and a whole slew of other things, but I'm going to be OK. I have Faith in GOD, the one good thing I haven't lost!

WELL, SO MUCH FOR HAPPY EVER-AFTER!--IT DOESN'T EXISTS IN MY MARRIAGE. He been married to his job, and I believe that he has been having an affair. He doesn't believe in GOD....that's been the worst of all! I will not give up my FAITH in my LORD! HE comes first in my life. So, I guess now I have to change my marital status to separated, after more than 23 years of praying for his soul (I finally handed it over to GOD).
