Gayle's Story
Graduated high school at age 16 and started Santa Barbara City College a few days later, then to UCSB and on to Pepperdine Law School. Married John in 1976 just before graduating from UCSB. I started with a law firm in San Luis Obispo in 1979 and practiced in SLO for 27 years until I was appointed as a commissioner (subordinate judicial officer) for San Luis Obispo Superior Court in 2006 and then appo...Expand for more
inted by Gov. Jerry Brown as a judge for San Luis Obispo Superior Court in 2015. My current assignment is handling criminal cases and the behavioral health matters. John and I have two daughters, one born in 1987 and one in 1990. We are a family of scuba divers (and we like to hike, kayak and travel). I still keep in touch with Terri Plake, Mark Coudray and Debbie Berry (now Heck) from high school.
