Pete's Story
Pete Downs was born in the Hoosier State in 1958. He spent his high school years between two great alma maters, Westfield and Frankfort. Thank God they weren't rivals! It is in Frankfort that he meets the love of his life, Patricia Fuller (FHS, Class of '75).
After graduating in 1977, Pete joined the US Air Force and trained as a Security Policeman. It's here in the Air Force that ...Expand for more
he marries, attends college, raises three kids and becomes eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). In 2003, then 1st Sergeant Downs retires after a very distinguished and productive career.
In 2003, Pete was hired by the Jackson County Sheriff. While there he has served as Jailor, Jail Administrator, and Deputy Sheriff. He is now serving in his sixth year.
