Life
Well, what can I say. 30 years and it just seems like yesterday. I live roughly 6 miles south of Mt. Vernon where I teach and coach Varsity Football (LBs and strength and conditioning coordintor) Believe it or not I officiate HS basketball. Last year I received the honor of officiating the Girls DI final down at the Schott which makes me 4 out of the last 7 years being down there. All of this coming from the "ringleader" of the OCC Rude Section. It's fun though. Sam is now 21 years old and despite all the hardships he and I have had to endure the past 5 years together, he is doing great in school. He attends OSU and is doing well with Campus Crusade. As was the case in HS, I'm still a big sports fan but have curbed my interest from the "fanatical" ...Expand for more
level that I had upon graduation. There is more to life to enjoy. I am really looking forward to any reunion....to see everyone and go down memory lane once more. As they say, they were the best of times and some days I wouldn't mind going back to the Fall of 75, Winter of 75/76 and the Spring of 76 with everyone again! You can contact me at Mt. Now that I teach at Mt. Vernon HS, I can't help but feel the parallels between Hilliard 1976 and Mt. Vernon 2004. It's like I've gone back in time...and let's be honest, no matter how old we get, we all look back to those years fondly and sometimes wish we could relive them...changing those mistakes and making better decisions.
