Peter's Story
Life
Feb.12,2005 I consider Covina to be My home town because I lived there longer than anywhere else. I attended Mewin school,Las palmas jr. high and Northview High for My freshman and sophomore years. My father was awarded custody of my brother and Me,so I ended up finishing highschool at Longbeach Polytechnic Highschool. I still keep in touch with a couple close friends from Northview as well as friends from Longbeach. My main hobby while living in covina was bicycling. When I was in Longbeach, I was introduced to surfing. I still passionately indulge in these two hobbies. Since graduating highschool, I have bounced back and forth between longbeach and Longbeach area and San Gabriel Valley, and worked in many different job fields. In 1987 I started doing contract work for the phone companies. I continued this type of work untill late 2004 when I hired on with Verizon. I also got married in 1987, We are still together and have three kids. I enjoyed My two years at Northview and I was greatly dissapointed when I had to leave. I did lose track with some good friends and aquaintances. I have many good memories from living in Covina and going to Northview and I would enjoy hearing from anyone who knew me then.
I did enjoy Poly high as well but I must admit I did have somewhat of a bad attitude because the move to Long Beach was against my wil...Expand for more
l.I kind of wish I could do my last 2 years at Poly over again with a little better attitude, I think I could have gotten a lot better experience. I did have some great friends and teachers there. Prior to hiring on with Verizon, I travelled quite a bit and was home only on weekends and usually tired. It sure is nice to be home every night and be with my family. I am only 7 miles from work now with no freeway driving ! I don't miss the old commute on bit. Any way, if you remember me from either school, I welcome you to say " Hi " or share a memory. Thanks for the look up: Pete
July 2014 Update: Well, my last child has graduated high school so my 3 kids made it through the piblic education system. My daughters are in college and my son is figuring out what to do with his life. The wife and I are getting closer to being " empty nesters" I think we can handle that. I guess we are all getting older. When I drop something and have to bend down to pick it up, the ground seems to be further away than it used to be ! I'm still trying to stay active but it is a little more challenging these days. I have been able to say " Hey" to some of the people who looked me up, which is cool. Some people I can remember all the way back to grammer school. Anyway, life is moving on, we're still hanging in there and I hope you are doing good as well. Peter
