92402, Responsible for the design and test integration of the IMU ( Inertial Measuring Unit) used in the Peacekeeper silo based ICBM guidance and control system. Reviewed ECP's (Engineering Change Proposals),reviewed waiver requests to give recommendations to the Air Force. Also reviewed each production IMUs acceptance test results regarding functional and performance data i.e. Kalman filter output. Presented findings to management and Air Force. Ensured IMU met qualification standards set by mil specs, and maintained requirements and tracebility.Parallel work included design assessment of IMU for use in Small Missile and Rail Garrison Weapon Systems. Also advised on advanced G and C concepts. During Flight tests interpreted IMU telemetry data conducted at Vandenberg AFB.
