Peter's Story
Life
What can I say? We're all the same age and have probably suffered the same slings and arrows of life. So, here goes, in chronological order:
1960 started Journalism school at U of Oklahoma
1964 left school, went to work as reporter/editor
1965 married; also became an army pvt
1970 finally graduated U of Okla
1972 navy decided I qualified for a commission as designated public affairs officer
1973 went to work for phone company; began moving around the country in 1975
1977 first child, daughter, in Austin, TX
1978-97 moved a couple more times, between St. Louis and San Antonio
1990 dad died
1992 navy reserve decided I was captain material
1995 started a patenting/marketing business for later on (r...Expand for more

1998 mom died
1999 daughter graduated U of Missouri as third generation journalist! she's at the Denver Post
1999 retired from Southwestern Bell
2000 still working on patenting/ have one product on the market (hip-hip-hoorah!) two other products in the works.
2000 still married, still check the obits first thing in the morning to make sure I'm around.
2000? might retire from Navy Reserve or might not:
2002 retired from Navy
2008 daughter marries (he's a nice guy, too)
2011 wife retires from lifetime of teaching/librarianship
2012 first grandson
2015? daughter moves into teaching, classroom, then staff
2022 -- past few years spent avoiding the bug since both of us are vulnerable elderly types
