Peter's Story

Life After a false start as a theater tech, I went back to shyster school and ended up as employee benefits counsel to The Hearst Corp. After yet another false start in marriage to the former Pat Dlugokencky, I've remarried to a wonderful neurologist, Louise Klebanoff, and finally sired an intrepid (and occasionally destructive, but always adorable) son Maxwell, now 6. We all live in NYC, and, after 9/11, I've learned a new definition for "community". As of 06/07/04, I began a new job as staff attorney for the LegalHealth Cancer Project of NYLAG. It's better than Hearst! However, with both my father and most of my clients at NYLAG dying while I was there, I left after a year with another bad cervical disk and a plan to go into private practice. I got a few cases, one a nightmare, and worked p/t at the City Bar ...Expand for more
Asso. Legal Referral Service unmtil finally, retired on disability in April, 2008. And I'm working my way back through osteo-arthritis and all that goes with it. Tah-Dah!!! School Ah, High School in the 60's - studied innocence tied to the dread of Vietnam - not quite the halcyon days they were supposed to be, but then again, most of us survived. I do recall being of a slightly different political persuasion than the rest of my class - although I think by the time I graduated, most had caught up with me. College Ah, the Ozone Layer! OK, so it took me a "few" years to graduate - at least I did! Law School, which I really enjoyed, even though I went part-time at night while working fulltime. I had no time, no sleep, no many other things but it vitalized me and made getting up too early in the morning worth it.

One of my favorite pictures of my paternity 😌
Still life in little strings . . .
And all of a sudden, it’s Carnaby Street in 1964, waiting for Roger Daltrey to hop board and start cruising for birds . . .
I'm told it's Teachers Day, well here I am with my favorite teacher, in more ways than one . . . I'm so proud of you, Max!
I guess this is what is called a line of showers, to state the obvious . . .
Apparently, a new pyramid scheme has appeared over the Hudson today, probably another Trump casino . . .
It’s either National or International Dog Day (there seems to be some uncertainty as to jurisdiction), but Doc remains unimpressed - does that mean a treat?
Ok, so this just showed up, like in the past few hours, on the NW corner of Cabrini & W 181st - there was a regular mailbox at the NE corner until a few weeks ago . . .
Still life for a Wednesday morning, with coffeee 🤓
B&W, day 2:
Still Life with Harry and Keith
Waiting to see Stephen Colbert interview Uncle Joe at David Geffen Hall, surrounded by lots of New York Liberals.
Heaven 🤓
B&W Day 6 - 10-4, Eleanor
Proof positive that I was at Skidmore with Max (and Doc) this weekend!
I voted in the rain - hmm, sounds like a 50’s love song 😳 -
At any rate, if you haven’t already, go out and VOTE!
History be damned, Happy Birthday, Steven D Nash!
Pic by Griff, me and Nash at Mal’s, looking forward to impeachment 😎
Max, about to graduate. Yes, I’m kvelling!
Doc to Pete, yesterday afternoon, “What?” 😉
