Everything was very nice until I hit 40. I had saved enough money to stop working (at least for a few years) at 35. I then bought a sailboat and in spite of the fact that I had only a little experience we (the boat and I) made it to Greece. Over the next 4 plus years I tried to see just how foolish and decadent I could be and then I had a mid-life crisis or as a friend once said, I got stupid. I thought that life would somehow be better if I had a wife and kids. I met a gal (a canadian who came to Greece with a friend of mine), eventually married her and had children(the last one came when I was approaching 50). e're all the same age and I'm playing football with my 7 year old son and carrying around a pair of T4 panties in case my 4 year old daughter can't make it to the potty in time. I'm being punished for every little sin I've committed and the funniest part is that I'm enjoying it. Kim (my wife) is really wonderful and the kids are keeping me young. Over the past 2 years I've brought the boat back from the Med. and I'm sailing the Chesapeake when I can. And then there's work. I never realized how costly this whole family thing is. The bills are coming like bullets. It's a good thing I "retired" early since I don't see any possibility of doing it again in this life.
